A Hidden Holy Place in Akita: the Seitai Hoshikai〜４
mina5The aim of the couple from Mexico is to have a Mass at Seitai Hoshikai to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Their friend is a priest, and he celebrated Mass.
People have to make a reservation. If they want to have Mass, they must bring a priest because there is no priest in Seitai Hoshikai.
They made a reservation to have Mass on April 1.
On March 31, the guests hoped to visit the Catholic Church in Akita City.
A Mass was not held on Monday, however, the priest kindly showed us the inside of the church.
The guests looked around the inside very curiously. They took many pictures.
There is a monument on the right side of the entrance.
It is a martyr monument. It was built to honor the soul of the war victims
the spirit by war and persecution in order not forget them and to pray for their peace.
The day was a little cloudy and cold.
The temperature is low at the end of the cherry blossom season, which is around the middle of April.
We headed to the Senshu Park from the church.
