Exploring the Charms of Akita with an American Couple〜3

It takes about 10 minutes from Yurihongjo Station to the Chokai Toy Museum. On the way to the museum, the road is along the river, with the elegant silhouette of Mount Cho Kai rising above the landscape. However, it was cloud in that day
Therefore we cannot see the Mount Chokai. It was very pitiful. I'd like let them see the magnificent view of the Mt. Chokai. I'd like to let them see the magnificent to Chokai Mountain.

The museum is the renovation of the elementary school building. This Yurihonjo area has been bound full of the resources of mountains and forests, so the museum is the place having culture of these areas and the museum is loved by the place where children and adults can interact with each other.
The elementary building was made by Wood in 1953. And it was used to built with 75% of the 2years budgets.
It is a very rare school building made in the 1950s. The scale of it is the same as the original, and it is very rare to keep the original building by now. The scale is the biggest in the Akita Prefecture.

Akita cider grain is used on the floor, on the wall, on the ceiling, and on the furniture. It has a Japanese atmosphere and also a modern design. It has a beautiful, harmonious design that has both Japanese and a modern atmosphere.

There are guides in the museum who taught us how to play with the wooden toys. The wife liked the toy that made a sound when we rolled the ball, and she tried it many times.

In the museum, there is a café, and adults also eat children's meals. The couple ordered lunch with Honjo noodles
In spite of many foreign tourists eating noodles with forks, the couple used chopsticks very well, and they enjoyed Japanese culture. The school is surrounded by trees and has paths and playground equipment. However, their next destination, Sake brewery, is the biggest place for the couple. So we didn't stroll around the garden, and we went ahead to the brewery in Yashima Town.
I’will send you the visiting Tenjyu Sake brewery in the next blog. Please look forward to report of Japanese sake and the sake culture
